Volunteering in Europe
International volunteering stages (2 – 12 months) abroad for young people from Romania within the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.
Our Association is accredited by the European Commission to coordinate volunteering projects, host international volunteers, and send Romanian volunteers on stages abroad within the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.
The opportunities offered by AIST are extensive, with the duration of time spent abroad ranging from short 2-month stages (ideal for university students and high-school seniors aged 18+ during the summer holidays) up to long-term stages of up to 12 months (which can bridge educational or career gap years). Time spent in other European countries facilitates practical experience and skills tailored to each participant’s interests, refines foreign language fluency, and builds independent living skills—all recognized through the international YouthPass Certificate.
Since 2013, we have offered the chance to experience international volunteering to nearly 100 young people from Romania, many of whom have become true non-formal ambassadors of our country. Because we treat this activity with the utmost seriousness, we select and support young people who are genuinely committed to volunteering and community impact.
Thanks to our stable and reliable network of partnerships with organizations across Europe, our team can help you find the right match from the European database and recommend reputable host organizations that will turn your volunteering stage into a memorable life experience.
