About Hand in Hand for Europe (HH4EU)
Launched in 2019 under the European Solidarity Corps, Hand in Hand for Europe (HH4EU) introduced an important milestone in AIST’s history: for the first time, alongside international volunteers from across Europe, eight Romanian volunteers were selected to work side by side in mixed teams.
Objectives & Spirit
The core idea of the project was for young people to learn from one another about their respective home countries and cultures, bringing to life the true essence of European cooperation, solidarity, and multiculturalism through educational workshops delivered across communities in Maramureș.
