Gate towards the World (GTW)
AIST’s inaugural international volunteering project (2013), laying the foundation for our mission to be “The Open Gate to the World!” for children and youth in Maramureș.
February – August 2013
About Gate towards the World (GTW)
Implemented between February and August 2013 under the European “Youth in Action” (Tineret în Acțiune) program with the support of UAC Europe, Gate towards the World (GTW) was the pioneering international volunteering project at AIST.
This first stage brought our organization’s motto—“The Open Gate to the World!”—to life, welcoming the first European volunteers into the schools and communities of Baia Mare and demonstrating the transformative impact of non-formal education.
