School Bike Baia Mare

Sustainable urban mobility program encouraging and supporting middle-school students in Baia Mare to use bicycles and alternative eco-friendly means of transport for a healthier lifestyle.

About the SCHOOL BIKE Program

SCHOOL BIKE is a sustainable mobility program that encourages and supports middle-school students in Baia Mare to use alternative means of transportation with a low environmental footprint and major health benefits.

We welcome students, parents, and teachers to:

  • Demonstration rides and safe bike-to-school sessions;
  • Road safety workshops and preventive traffic behavior training;
  • Environmental education and urban sustainability workshops;
  • Information sessions hosted alongside NGO partners and the local Police department.

SCHOOL BIKE is one of the winning projects within the “Fund for a Better Future in Communities” (Fondul pentru un viitor mai bun în comunități) program, coordinated nationally by the Federation of Community Foundations in Romania (FFCR) through the Oradea Community Foundation and financed by Lidl Romania.
